At Dr. Homon’s orthodontic practice, we pride ourselves on assessing the individual needs of each patient and treating them in the most efficient and affordable way possible. Orthodontic problems require specialized care, and very patient does not necessarily need braces. For those patients who require only minor tooth movement, we offer spring aligners.
Invisible Aligners
The invisible retainer, or clear aligner, is a transparent removable retainer that fits over the entire arch of teeth, similar to Invisalign®. They can be used for minor orthodontic tooth movement. They are custom made for your personal orthodontic treatment and are great for aesthetics as well due to their invisable appearance. Clear Aligners should be worn for most of the day, but are still able to be removed if need be.
Spring Aligners
A spring aligner will quickly and easily align the teeth into a perfect smile with minimal hardware. They are ideal for quick correction of rotated teeth, crowding and adult relapse. Spring aligners use coil springs to apply steady, gentle force to teeth in order to achieve controlled, continuous movement. The success of a spring aligner depends upon how much it is worn. They generally require at least 10 hours of wear a day, however full time wear will produce the best and fastest results!
